Special congratulations to Nick Whaley, who was selected as the International Skills Diploma STAR Student! In addition to meeting the global competencies of the Internation Skills Diploma Seal through his involvement in advanced international course work and community service activities, such as Campbell High School's Water Project, Nick continued to study German outside of school and attended GHP in German while progressing through French VI and taking the IB French exam.

Congratulations to the 101 Campbell students in the Class of 2023 who received The Georgia Seal of Biliteracy. This seal recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. Scores are used from AP and IB exams to determine proficiency.

Campbell High School Class of 2023 students receiving the Biliteracy and International Skills Diploma seals represent OVER 50% of the total students from the Cobb County School District this year!

Way to go students and teachers!

Congratulations to Molly Ziskind and Brandon Buchalter who were honored by Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta as recipients of the annual Hadassah Chesed Student Awards. Of the twenty-three students recognized, two are Campbell IB students who demonstrated a passion for serving their communities. Molly also won a $500 essay award for Leadership!

Nico Lamps was named the Campbell High School STAR Student for the Class of 2023. To obtain the STAR nomination for their high school, students must have the highest score on any single test date of the SAT taken through the November test date of their senior year and be in the top 10 percent of their class based on grade point average.

Nico was asked to select the teacher who has had the greatest impact on his academic career and success at CHS to be named as this year's STAR teacher, and he chose his IB French teacher, Mrs. Bonnie Methvin.

Congratulations to Foster Johnson and Nico Lamps for securing a Congressional appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

This is a tremendous honor, and we hope the entire CHS family joins us in wishing Foster and Nico continued success.

Congratulations to Khang Ton, who consistently demonstrated merit, scholarship, engagement, and resilience - everything Carol loved about this program.

The Debbie Van Horn Scholarship, a $500 scholarship funded by Mrs. Van Horn's family and friends in honor of Campbell High School's first IB Clerk, was awarded to Lilla Kate Tucker, a student who Mrs. Van Horn would have celebrated for her quiet but extraordinary contributions to the Campbell and the IB Diploma Program in the classroom, on the track, and the soccer field.

Baye Wilson was awarded a $500 scholarship demonstrating resilience and perseverance throughout the program. This scholarship was funded anonymously by the family of an IB graduate.
