Congrats to all of the IB seniors admitted early to GT and UGA.

CHS IB continues to see students admitted at a much higher rate than the general applicant pool.

The CHS IB Class of 2022 had an outstanding IB Diploma pass rate of 99%, far exceeding the global IB Diploma pass rate of 86%. The average overall score for the CHS Class of 2022 was 32, the highest in 4 years! The 2022 global average overall score was 31.

 


 

 

Two students in the Class of 2022 received a point total of 43 out of 45 on their IB diploma!

 

The Class of 2022 beat the world average on their IB exams in English, History, Philosophy, Physics, Math SL Analysis, and Math HL Applications.

 

All CHS IB Class of 2022 students passed their IB exams. 

 


  

 

 Gillen Joachim accepted an appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. As a member of the USNA Class of 2026, Gillen will earn his college degree in the 4-year fully funded program while receiving professional military training to prepare for his career as an officer in the United States Navy.  

 


 

 

 

Karrington Riley was named a Posse Scholar at Boston University.

 


 

   

 

Sasha Villefranche was named the Campbell High School STAR Student for the Class of 2022. 

 


 

 

Benjamin Loong earned a 2022 Georgia Youth Leadership Award from the non-profit organization 21st Century Leaders.

At the IB Medal Ceremony on May 21, 2022, nine seniors also received a $500 Learner of Scholarship funded by the IB Booster Club. Faculty nominated and voted on students based on merit, scholarship, engagement, and resilience. The scholarship recipients were: Destiny Greenlee, Nick Hollander, Cesar Lopez-Landaverde, Melissa Milliron, Susan Sambou, Freya Shah, Juliette Velasquez, Andrew Welch, and Ting Ting Yan. 

 

One additional very special scholarship was awarded in memory of Debbie Van Horn, the first CHS IB clerk. The $500 scholarship was funded by Debbie's friends and family. The faculty awarded the scholarship to Leno Do. 

 

 

 

Our Class of 2022 IB graduates will be attending 42 different colleges and universities.
